Accessibility Statement
Last updated September 9, 2026.
Clear Path Behavioral Health is a video-based psychiatric practice, so this website is not a brochure for the service: for many people it is the way they find care and book their first appointment. It needs to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, magnification, speech input, or a keyboard instead of a mouse.
The standard we measure against
We measure this site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium.
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the standard is met and some of it has not yet been fully verified. We have chosen that wording carefully. Automated testing finds only a portion of accessibility problems, and the manual testing described below is not finished, so we are not willing to claim more than we have checked.
What we have done
- Text and background colours across the site are checked for contrast. The lowest ratio in use is 4.74:1, against the 4.5:1 that Level AA requires for body text.
- Colour is never the only way information is conveyed. Links inside blocks of text are underlined as well as coloured.
- Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and there is a visible focus outline everywhere so you can always see where you are.
- A skip link lets keyboard and screen reader users jump straight past the navigation to the main content.
- Pages use real headings in order, real landmarks, and one main heading per page, so a screen reader can navigate the structure rather than reading everything.
- Every image carries a text alternative, and images that are purely decorative are hidden from assistive technology rather than described pointlessly.
- Animations respect the reduced-motion setting in your operating system. Content revealed by hovering is also revealed by keyboard focus, and is present for screen readers whether or not the animation runs.
How and when it was tested
Last tested on 9 September 2026, using automated tooling across a representative set of pages, a structural review of every page on the site, and manual checks of keyboard operation and colour contrast. Testing was carried out by the team that built the site.
What is not finished
We would rather list these than let you discover them:
- Testing with assistive technology is not complete. We have not yet worked through the site with screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA and JAWS, or at high levels of magnification. Until that is done we cannot claim full conformance.
- Some legal documents are supplied by a third party. Our privacy policy, terms of service and disclaimer are published through an external service that inserts its own content into the page. We do not control that markup and cannot vouch for it meeting the same standard as the rest of the site. If any of those documents is difficult to read, contact us and we will send it to you in another format.
- Booking happens on a separate system. Scheduling and intake are handled by a different provider on a different website. This statement does not cover that system. If you have trouble booking, contact us and we will arrange your appointment with you directly.
- Some older articles were carried over from the previous website. They meet the standard structurally, but their wording has not been reviewed for plain language.
